Job Location: 875 Old Roswell Road, Suite #C-500, Roswell, GA 30076
Job Duties: Individuals will utilize advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts, as well as experience in embedded software system development and product integration, in performing the following job duties and responsibilities:
1. Participate in embedded device design activities, including development of new device requirements, system specifications, and architecture. 2. Write embedded software in C, C++, and Microcontroller programming using ARM assembly language. 3. Write Application side interfacing software in high level programing languages such as C++, Java and C#. 4. Develop Software Requirement Specifications and Design Documents. 5. Recommend and implement design solutions for complex subsystems. 6. Participate in Agile planning, review, and demo meetings. 7. Work with hardware vendors for integrating chipsets and embedded software. 8. Develop unit tests for device driver software. 9. Use version control software such as Git, Subversion, TFS etc. 10. May perform additional duties related to this occupation, as required. This position does not supervise the work of other personnel and does not perform any project management.
Minimum requirements: : Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-degree experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must also possess demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in the following: 1. Embedded C and C++ programming languages. 2. ARM micro-controller programming. 3. At least one of the following Mobile software platforms: Android, iOS and Windows Phone. 4. System development and product integration of digital electronics and embedded software, including RTOS development and device driver development. 5. HW communication standards, including I2C, SPI, USB, and Ethernet for interfacing Hardware peripherals such as Camera, GPS, and Sensors. 6. Device driver experience with at least one of the following: Camera, GPS, Touch controller or Sensors such as Gyroscope and Accelerometer. 7. Board Support Package (BSP) development for Qualcomm chipsets. 8. Hardware Debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzer. Note: demonstrable proficiency means being able to demonstrate a level of technical knowledge and skill sufficient enough to successfully complete tasks in the associated competency without assistance.

Responsibilities include the following: Participate in modification of existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Assist with the development of software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Under supervision, confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to assist in system design and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Participate in consultations with customers about software system design and maintenance. Subject to review and approval by a supervisor, coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position.
